☑ appearance.

Tanaka isn't the friendliest looking guy! Taller than average, with a little bit of bulk, broad shoulders usually tensed and arms probably crossed over his chest. Though not exactly hulking, his posture makes it obvious he's pretty closed off and tries to play tough. He keeps his hair a little long and usually slicked back. (And also, though this is somewhat cruel, age hasn't been terribly kind to his hairline.) That, combined with his default expression of a half-scowl, brow lowered and lips pressed thin, makes him look a bit like a two-bit thug, to be honest.

In terms of clothing, he definitely favors thick jackets, even in the summer, keeping them zipped all the way up, paired with jeans or cargo pants. He also likes to wear caps to obscure his face a little, though that might be more out of necessity than personal preference -- best for a fugitive to hide his face, after all.

☑ abilities.

Tanaka is an ajin. That means he has two innate abilities: immortality, and a black ghost.

In terms of immortality, Tanaka is unkillable (except by old age). Whenever killed, he'll snap back to life in a few seconds. The revival process will repair any injuries done to him, no matter how severe -- even if his body is blasted to bits, it will regenerate a whole body from the largest speck of flesh remaining -- and will replenish anything missing, such as blood, nutrients, or water. Though he does feel pain, a decade of torture has given him stupidly high pain tolerance. Whenever he 'resets,' his body emanates a sort of float-y, ash-like substance, and makes a strange crackling noise.

In terms of his black ghost, Tanaka can control a weird ghost-looking humanoid made of the same ashy substance. He can control it directly, give it commands to follow, and get sensory feedback from it; it's a bit stronger than a human, and its talons allow it to rip people's limbs off or scale buildings. It can be controlled from a few dozen meters away, though interference in the air (such as rain) will 'disconnect' it. It can only be seen by ajin (and anyone else with a supernatural ability), and is invisible to normal human beings, but can be bumped into. It can be sent out twice a day, for five to ten minutes at a time.
